Pros & Cons

Expert Score
Good things
The Redmi 4 offers a 5-inch HD display, which is excellent for its price. The smartphone has the most powerful processor in its class, the Snapdragon 435. The software is also well-optimized. Hence, the Redmi 4 has a fast and smooth performance. The image quality is the best among its competitors. The battery life is also the best in its price range, thanks to the large 4100mAh battery and a well-optimized software.
Bad things
The only complaint with the Redmi 4 would be its video recording; it comes out very shaky, and the overall quality is below average.

Which phone has good camera Redmi 4 or Gionee P5W?
Answer by Samir Makwana, 18 months ago
Redmi 4 has an impressive camera. The 13MP rear camera has a f/2.2 aperture coupled with an autofocus and LED flash. It is used to capture some crisp shots in the daytime with great sharpness and details for the budget segment standards, of course. The low-light enhancement is a marginal add-on, but the HDR works fine. The 5MP camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture also captures some good selfies. Overall, the camera performance of the Redmi 4 is more compelling over the Gionee P5W sporting 5MP primary camera with autofocus and 2MP front camera.

How is the quality of this mobile?
Answer by Samir Makwana, 18 months ago
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 is one of the only smartphones featuring metallic build and a fingerprint scanner at this price. Apart from that, the MIUI offers several power-user grade features to enjoy. The camera is decent and overall performance is quite reliable. That said, the overall specifications and design package offer way more value-for-money quotient to keep your investment worthy. Also, Xiaomi is working hard to open more service centers in different corners of the country. I hope that answers your question.

Which one is better Redmi 4 or Moto C plus?
Answer by Samir Makwana, 20 months ago
Both phones pack a 5-inch HD display and similar battery size around 4000 mAh. However, the Redmi 4 includes a fingerprint reader, 3GB of RAM, 32GB storage, and expandable storage up to 128GB which adds up to its advantage. It also features an Infrared sensor. On the other hand, Moto C Plus runs the Android 7.0 Nougat and FM Radio while running a tad old MediaTek MT6737 chipset. The Redmi 4 is a better-looking device with relatively reliable hardware.

Is this phone better than Infinix Note 4?
Answer by ravalharsh494, 12 months ago
Of course, though the price of Infinix Note 4 is Rs. 9000, i.e., Rs. 2000 more than this one, it lags while you run multiple apps. Moreover, the processor is also not up to the mark, the camera performance and the sound quality obtained are poor. So, Redmi will not disappoint you, just take it.

Yes, definitely.

Is this the best mobile in all segments?
Answer by Samir Makwana, 18 months ago
I am not sure if I understand what you mean by all segments. However, I can say that Redmi 4 as a package offers more value than other phones in the same price range. For starts, Redmi 4 offers you a stylish and premium build quality along with a fingerprint scanner. It has a good display, smooth software performance and an impressive camera. For a budget price, that's the best one can get.

I am using 3S Prime and it's excellent value for money. No problem at all, would suggest you to go for it.

My Review.

Excellent phone, it slightly heats up during the long conversations.
The main problem is the GPS, its functions are very erratic and hence can't use tracking apps like Strava Run Keeper, etc.

I used it for 1-year.

It's worth the price. It's very exciting to use Mi updates. It has a good screen and volume, no problem in usage. It's simple and the best. The second space is something which is attractive in Mi devices.

I am not at all happy.

I bought this mobile in November 2016. Here arises a problem with the mobile mic during march 2017. The receiver was not able to hear intermittently on what I am speaking while on a call. It started occasionally for few calls in a month. The occurrence of this issue increased around July 2017, almost any call I make or receive, the receiver was not able to hear my voice. I had been visiting the MI service center multiple times for this issue. The first time they did mobile reset thought it could be due to some software bug, the problem was repeating. Then they replaced the mic panel, citing it could be a hardware problem with the mic. Still, the problem repeated and they suggested to get the whole motherboard replaced. There was no stock with the service center and they wanted me to surrender the mobile saying they can order for a motherboard only if I surrender. They wanted the waiting time to be 30days at-least. In addition to these all, the handset has over-heating problem. If you speak long calls/watch movies/play games/browse internet the handset gets heated too much. Now I finally, exchanged my Redmi 3S for iPhone in Amazon. I don't recommend Redmi to my friends. PROS: It's budget-friendly and easily affordable.

It's excellent as per my knowledge.
