It's an awesome band. It gives an accurate sleep time(at what time you get to sleep, deep sleep, light sleep, awake time, woke up time) + your daily steps + km you walked + phone notifications + pulse rate. And yes, with 24-days battery backup.
Answer by dineshbabu161094, 22 months ago

How is the battery life and what is the warranty of this product?
Answer by shukla.dilip28, 24 months ago
The battery life as per the specifications is 20 days, but after receiving the band, it is fully discharged. So, I used the band after charging, and after 17 days it's discharged, and the remaining battery is only 2 %. So, I charged it again, and it discharged after 19 days. I have noticed that discharging is faster during sleep if the band's touch point is connected to the skin during sleep. Its discharging is a different type, first time after ten days, the battery remaining is 54% but after 15 days it is 33% in the next two days, and it's fully discharged up to 2%. After second time charging, the battery remaining is 58% after ten days, 41% after 15 days, and in the next four days it disc

It has a 1-year warranty, and the battery life is awesome. Charge it and forget, and the next charge would be around 15-20 days later.
Answer by sushant.shinde147, 23 months ago

Answer by sharadtuwani, 22 months ago

Answer by nyadav100, 21 months ago

what are the advantages of mi band 2 compared to mi band?
Answer by shukla.dilip28, 24 months ago
Well, I don't think you should be buying Mi band now since that the Mi band 2 is out. The most obvious change is the addition of an OLED display. It is nothing fancy, just the basic notifications. But the display is very handy. It shows time and number of steps covered (distance covered, calories burned too). Another important addition is the heart rate sensor, but it won't work on the normal wrist position. You have to painstakingly balance it over the inner part of the wrist, above the pulse point. I think they have changed the algorithm they use to estimate each step, it's improved a lot. Now simply moving your hand around won't be counted as a step. Also, they have increased the

I am using Mi band 2 from past 5 months, have seen my friends using band 1 B4. The biggest advantage is the digital display. When I go for a walk daily, I usually don't prefer my mobile to be with me to avoid disturbance from unwanted messages and calls. In that case if you have Mi 2, then you can monitor your steps, heart rate and burn calories even without Mi fit app. Another advantage is you can avoid wrist watch.
Answer by sharadtuwani, 21 months ago
It displays walking data on screen in place of LED lights. Many more features like Incoming call alert, SMS alert, Heart rate monitor etc. are available in Mi Band 2.
Answer by nyadav100, 21 months ago
The advantages compared to Mi band are as following - 1. It has a display. 2. It monitors heart rate. 3. It shows caller's name on band's display.

If I buy a Xiaomi Mi Band 2, do I need to buy a Mi cell phone as well, and do I need to wear it all the time?
Answer by shukla.dilip28, 24 months ago
No need for Xiaomi phone, since Mi Band 2 works on Android phone and iPhone. My family members are using one Mi Band 1 and three Mi Band 2 devices on various mobiles - Redmi 3S, Yu Yureka Plus, iPhone 5s, and Samsung Grand. Bluetooth 4.0 is always better for battery life because Bluetooth 4.0 consumes low battery. I generally turn off the Bluetooth daily 1 or 2 times and switch on just before sleep or walking. It is sufficient because all the data is stored in mobile and we can read/compare it by weekly or monthly.
Answer by karthik.independant, 24 months ago
No, you don't have to buy a Mi smartphone, any smartphone should be ok. The Mi-Fit app is available on Google Play Store. You can download and install on your smartphone. The app is helpful in monitoring your fitness and workout regularly. You don't have to wear it all the time. You can wear it, whenever you want to monitor your exercises, calories burnt, walking/running distance every day.
Answer by smit3112, 24 months ago
Mi band 2 supports almost all the Android phones, and if you wear it, then it will track your activities from the time you are wearing the band. You no need to connect to the phone all the time, and the data syncs automatically once connected. If you want to get notified of calls and other stuff, you have to connect the band to the phone using Bluetooth and their Mi-Fit Android app.
Answer by nabeelakhtar15, 24 months ago
No, you don't have to buy a Mi phone, any smartphone will work. Yes, you have to wear it all the time to track everything.
Answer by sharadtuwani, 21 months ago
You need any smart phone with bluetooth. The Mi app can be installed on any smart phone running Android 5 or above.

The data of heart beat, Sleep monitor,Steps count etc are how much accurate?
Answer by vikas.rawatfbd, 23 months ago
I have not compared the heart rate data with the medical equipment, but somehow it seems accurate. It does monitor sleep data and shows deep sleep hours and light sleep hours. But no one knows after sleeping, how to crosscheck. Step counter counts with the hand swing, and my band counts twice steps in each too and fro action. So, one step and hand swing too and fro is equal to two steps increase in the counter.
Answer by shukla.dilip28, 24 months ago
The data of heart rate is accurate. I have compared it with a Rossmax high-quality BP Monitor (BP Monitor shows blood Pressure and heart rate also). You can't compare the sleep rate, but it seems to be accurate. I have read a doctor's report saying, the sleep monitor and the step count of Mi Band 2 are accurate. But during travel by bus, its result is wrong, because of vibrations/jerks during the travel by bus.
Answer by smit3112, 24 months ago
Sleep, steps and other data is fairly accurate, and the heartbeat monitor is not accurate. It shows random heart rate most of the time, i.e., from 40 to 100.
Answer by sharadtuwani, 21 months ago
Heart Rate monitor- Indicative. Sleep monitor: Very accurate. Steps count: Reasonably accurate. It counts bumps while riding or driving as steps taken.
Answer by sushant.shinde147, 23 months ago
The accuracy level of the detection is 80% to 90%.

The heart-rate monitor does not work, after 1 year the LED glow starts fading. The HRX edition glows better.
